4,700 people displaced in Kwara


 The Kwara State Government has said that 4,700 people had been rendered homeless in the state as a result of flood.
In a statement on Wednesday by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Communication, Dr. Muyideen Akorede, the  state government said sympathised particularly with the people of Edu Local Government Area of the state over the disaster that submerged many parts of the council.

 
Responding on behalf of other victims, Mallam Mohammed Mata said they were left with nothing and therefore appealed to government to come to their aids.
Assessing the damage the Special Adviser on Emergency and Relief Services, Alhaji Musa Abdullahi assured the victims of the state government’s support.
